Someone is selling this Alesis DM5 Pro kit for $350.(says in ad he paid $1000 for them brand new in 2010)

Did some research...The drum pads are loud and the sounds are not the greatest.

Will hold out for a Roland kit (save more cash if needed) or just keep looking for a drummer.

Tested the M Audio C400

The unit has headphone monitoring issues from what I'm reading up on (should of researched a bit better)

However this interface/sound card will be great for mixing because it has plugins for a few sets of monitors (so you can check mix on small and larger monitors)

Here are some Fast Track C series videos.

I may grab the firewire 410 off of Kijiji for actual tracking and use the C400 for mixing.(with monitor only)

Proud owner of an M audio Firewire 410

Its a bit dated however it should be fine for my needs.(like new in box)

Wont have to switch to windows 7 (sticking with XP)

In total I spent a $155 on interfaces so I'm not to upset about the C400's headphone monitoring issue (can probably set something up from the back for phones using a mixer on the C400).

M audio C400= $70
M Audio firewire 410= $85

Will be getting back to recording after the weekend and after I have some time to mess with the new toys.

Being able to record more than one thing at once does open up new doors for recording.

Always thought this Randy Rhoads guitar set up was interesting.

I like Jim Dunlop/MXR products.

Phase 90 is decent and that stereo chorus definitely looks interesting in this pic and in this set up.

If I had the gear and the studio I would go one further and go with 3 cabs if that's possible.

Left Center Right

I'm into triple tracking vocals and electric guitar so 3 cabs is a very interesting idea in concept.

You want real stereo you have to go 3 D.

Give thanks that you are healthy people.

Neighbor had a stroke and now I'm part of the Personal Emergency Response service. (volunteer)

Helping people live safely and independently in their own homes.

I like helping however I hope I don't find the guy lifeless one of these times after an emergency call.

I really hope that never happens.
