Here's one that needs some filling out.  For sure needs some percussion and bass, maybe some other filler items.  Go ahead and add what you think fits.
The song tempo is 134.  Key is A flat.  All stems line up at 1 1 1 1.

Here's a rough mix of what I have so far: http://www.box.net/shared/static/plr9qnoe4b.mp3

Here's a zipped file of the raw stems: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NDM63GRA

Have fun!

Sweet song man. I'll give this a shot sometime this weekend. Sounds like a cool song to collaborate with.

How would you feel about some straight rock drums? I think it could work, and especially have some ideas of what to do as the song builds up a bit before the end. I'm not much of a drummer (i.e. can't do crazy metal/double kick or anything fancy like that) but I think I could knock out a set of drum tracks (Kick, Snare and OH's) that would be a good accent to this tune. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll try and get something on tape for ya this weekend.

I'm not a drummer and honestly don't know what kind of drums this song needs.  This site is all about collaboration, experimentation, and discoveration (huh?).  Anyway, anyone is welcome to take a crack at whatever they feel works for the song.  So if you have something you think works, by all means go for it.  This one is for kicks and giggles.

Hi,

When  I set my tempo to 134... it does not line up.

I set to 123 for the beginning part, and 3/4 meter, then it starts to make sense.
But then it does not, at the "Flood the banks inward" vocal it goes up in tempo, and then it goes into 134 bpm, in 3/4 time.
There was a start after bar 32, which was not on a downbeat... so I increased the space a little there.

Cheers

Hi,

Here's a very rough mix, with the added small space between bar 34-35... so you can compare to what you had. Let me know if this is ok.
The Meter is 3/4 all the way through.
The tempo is 123 from beginning until measure 35, where it changes up to 134.
The Ac Gtr on my session starts at measure 14. The intro synth starts approximately at measure 2.

If anyone gets confused ,I'll post a mix left / click right version.

Nick,

Sounds good.  I did notice on the first word "sky" your de-esser chopped off the s completely, so it sounds like "ky open wide".  Thanks for sorting out the timing.  I have yet to learn how to change tempo mid song in Logic, but I'll figure it out.

OK, I got the tempo thing figured out.  I've attached a screen shot of what it now looks like.  Nick, is this about what you have?

Also, I noticed that synth R tail got chopped off in the bounce, so I bounced a new one here: http://www.box.net/shared/static/hdof7phxue.zip

Hi Guitar Zero,
Yes, that is what I have. This works better for anyone using the DAW tempo bars. Thanks for uploading that synth again.
