Hello!

I wanted to modify the first post in this topic to update some links:

http://mixoff.org/index.php/topic,430.0.html

but I got the following error:

Quote from: Error
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

The same thing happend when I tried to reply to the topic.

Then I simply tried to post "TEST" and this works all of a sudden. I removed this post.

Only now I realize that it seems to have something to do with the text I wanted to post. I also can't post it here (preview fails).

I tried to post the following text:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/67245094/CC.txt

The onyl thing I can think of is that the forum software can't handle these URLs for some reason, but I already posted similar URLs in other topics.  ??? ???

Anyone any suggestions or hints?

Thanks!

It appears to be something to do with that format of URL (using the "#" might be the issue.) You can insert them without the url tag, but they won't be clickable. Or you could use a service like bitly.com to create shortened urls, assuming of course, that bitly can handle them!

I tried inserting them as an admin, but got the same weird error you describe. Have you used the mega links in other threads?

Yes, it worked here: http://mixoff.org/index.php/topic,582.msg7818.html#msg7818
That's what seems strange to me...

Bitly seems to work, good idea! I guess I'll use to that for now.

Wish I had an explanation, must be some quirk of the code!
