Hello everyone,

Just found out about this forum through SOS's website. Been scrolling up 'n down a bit and decided to join.

My name is Tom Sibren van Iersel, freelance recording and mixing engineer under the name Sound Engine and teacher in music production, studio technology and Avid Pro Tools at EMstudios Academy of Sound, located in Belgium.
I've been in the field for many years, mostly as a musician, started for my self 3 years ago and work in all genres. I come from a rock/metal background but have a passion for all types of music.
In 2011 I graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts, faculty Art, Media & Technology where I obtained by Master of Arts in Music Production.

If you want to know more or have a listen at my portfolio, please visit http://soundengine.nl (flash required).
More information on the music production academy I teach at can be found at http://www.emstudios.be
Next to my own studio and the studios at EMstudios, I mainly work at Excess Studios Rotterdam (http://www.excess.nl)

Thanks for your time in reading this and I hope to come across great music for me to possibly mix! :)

P.S.- I also play guitar and bassguitar.

P.P.S.- I posted my information at the Engineers for Hire forum here: http://mixoff.org/index.php/topic,644.0.html  ;D

Welcome!

Feel free to make use of tracks in your teaching, etc, if you like. And we're always looking for new tracks to mix, as well, so if you have any, post away!

John

Thank you John!

Good to know the tracks are available for my courses. Might come in handy.
If I have anything recorded that is free to be mixed by the public, I'll share.

Totally forgot:

I also do foley recordings and mix for short animations/film/commercials. I've done some work for graduates of art schools who have their films shown all over the world at animation film festivals. Great stuff!
I've just started producing/writing music for (web)commercials and such, mainly working with a team of developers/designers.
