i Listen to it. There is some editing you left in some of vox that were mistakes, the dubs are way too high, compression settings aren’t grabbing the vox correctly… good stuff though dude!

Ok, so these comments are not for anyone specifically, since there are not many tracks to mix I found most of the mixes on this one to sound pretty similar.
I'm not an expert on rap or hiphop and don't listen to it much. However, I have a few older records which I really like, like some from Tribe Called Quest. I think most of you have achieved that oldschool rap sound very nicely and I like it myself too. However, even though I generally find myself hating this commercial rap that you hear on radio today and those morons making it more than any other genre, I myself aimed for that commercial sound just because I had to tweak a bit more and thus made the mixing more fun. It might not fit this particular piece as well as other mixes but what the heck.. So nice job everyone!

Hey guys Here's my shot at it : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/63815182/Minus_mix1.mp3Hip hop is not really my usual type of music to mix but I hope there's a little good in it MortenDK I like your mix, especially the little distortion on the vocals. Did you use a comp on your master ? Because I can hear it pump weirdly sometimes and duck some lyrics. It happens everytime the bass is bouncing up so you may want to side chain your compressor with an eq so that it's not triggered too much by the low end anymore. Best

I only had about 15 minutes to work on this. Left all the vocal parts in, thought they had some charm to them. I gave it a pretty bland "commercial" hip hop sound without even really meaning to, but it doesn't sound awful. Could've done some creative stuff to it probably. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44236528/Minus.mp3
