Here's a 155BPM drum track if anyone wants to add on to it. Curious what you guys can do with it. It can go anywhere from here.

Here are the files

And here is a raw mix with all faders at 0.

As tracks come in, I will add them to the rar.

Cool rhythms - I just got a new amp, so maybe I'll take a crack at adding some guitar

Here's a very very quick and dirty rough mix - some limiting to make it loud and a bit of EQ on the drum and guitar bus and little else (except panning and quick fader adjustments).

Spent about an hour trying to come up with a rhythm part that I liked, then did 1 take on the solo plus 1 (really bad) overdub to include some pick scratches at stuff near the start - If you like the direction of this let me know and I'll post the stems (but if you "really" like it let me know and I'll redo them so they aren't as weak - esp. the solo  ;D).

Guitars were monitored through Amplitube 2 going in, but the dry stems are still in there (DI). I'll put a little more time into it if you like what you're hearing - its more of a "sketch" than anything haha - was a bit pressed for time today and did a 20 minute mix after the hour recording yesterday.

Oh yeah - I also monitored everything entirely through Headphones... epic fail

Sweet guitar part! Just not perfectly cohesive. Was originally going to say to ring out for 3 seconds in between 0:40-0:43 but I realized that I crashed way too much during the middle parts.  I also did some kinda funky thing and skipped a measure. I'm sure that was probably uncomfortable to play 13 instead of 12.

I'll do a new recording tomorrow and your part will feel much more natural to play :P. It will be the same general thing, I'll just play less in between the more intense part, and fix the pause.

Should sound a lot better. Hope you won't mind ;).

Sounds good - I had considered just clipping out that extra bar - every time I added another track (the other rhythm or the solo) I was like "yeah... need to cut that" haha.

Didn't have time really to do nit-picky timing adjustments was all, figured I'd leave it for now. If you want to re-record by all means feel free, and I can either re-record the guitar (probably on the weekend) or you can trim out the extra bar of E strumming.

I will probably come up with a solo that ties things together a little better, I just kinda freestyle'd it - was happy with some of the parts and others weren't as interesting or beneficial to the whole song. I figured it was predominantly "filler" until someone decided to throw some lyrics at it.

Edit: Just remembered I haven't mixed down the stems for you to trim and whatnot - so I guess I"ll be re-recording it - If you're doing it, I might as well too - its a fun riff ;D

There we go.  I replaced the old links with the new performance.  Hopefully this one will work better.

Take your time with whatever ya need to do, Josh.  I'm in no hurry. :)

Edit: Also, edit the tracks any way you want.  If my timing was off, or I did something stupid again, feel free to make any changes.

Here's a rough mix w one electric bass.

And the Bass track:

Squier Precision Bass, through an Ibanez TS9, then through an S-Com VCA compressor, set to kill. One take, in E.

I also did remix the drumkit... here's a stereo submix of it as well:

Felt like jamming a bit and had this riff kicking around for a while.

I tried a bit of guitar at the beginning...just some rough takes.

Some lead and intro guitar...bit sloppy at the beginning.
