Hi! I'm new on the website, I'm here because looking for 'mixing training' 'raw tracks'... I just need some material to work on! The best would be an entire song, with each track separated. I'm sure you got me! I'm French, and do not understand everything in the website. Most of the files I want to download to are unavailable.
I do not have a special genre that I love. Maybe most underground, sub, anarchic; poetic than "Mr everybody's sound".
I'll be very happy if someone can show me a project I can work on..
Thank you very much and have fun and pleasure!
Mix Engineers For Hire / Helping out artists and bands !
« Last post by ale_forna on July 24, 2016, 01:12:46 AM »
Hello everybody. Im looking for artists and bands that are in need of a helping hand to finish their proyects. Money is not he priority, but helping those people who dont have a big budget, but would want and deserve great results, so Im offering ridiculous deals.

I try to do this everytime Im able to contribute with my free time to any person who need it. Been doing this locally for a long time, but now would like to help anybody worldwide.

For these reasons am looking for nice projects to help you with my skills. Any genre is welcome.

Feel free to contact me at , also you can hear samples at

I listened to your mix, matter of fact I'm still listening while I'm writing my thoughts.  First off, the overall levels are good considering this is your first run through, I only have a few pieces of advice.  I hear a slight amount of frequency masking going on with the vocals and the horns in some areas.  The mix also seems just a bit muddy.  Could this be due to and tape saturation that you may have used, or maybe even processed with some outboard analog gear to take of the crisp in the top end?  I really enjoyed the separation in the instrumentation in the stereo field, great job in this area.  I think with a little 5-10K boost in areas, and overall if done moderately thought some of the tracks, could really bring this out a bit more.  Also, with the vocal, in some areas it seems as though a little micro automation would be beneficial especially in the more dense parts of the arrangements.  Your post has really inspired me to mix this one myself and see what I can come up with.  Great work, will be looking forward to more of your mixes. ;D

Best Regards,

Hello Mickey,

I have taken the time to review your mix "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and for the most part its solid.  Well written and expressed. The arrangement of the music is solid.  The vocals are a little out of tune in areas, nothing a few minutes on melodeon couldn't fix.  The stereo field is nice and spacious.  The dynamics of the track seem to be about on par.  I think maybe taming the vocal a little more with eq, compression and maybe just some nice micro automation would do the trick on this as well. I found that, over all, the reverb was a little too much over the entirety of the track, maybe automate the reverb to ride in and out in relative parts.  Also you could consider a nice delay to automate in some of the sections as oppose to depending on the reverb to carry the vocal out, this could reduce the amount of reverb being use over the entire track and give it more dynamics as well.  Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

I am new to the website and this is my first post.  I have mixed a track from the Mixing Secrets website and would love some feed back.  Here is the link and please feel free to be blunt regarding your critiques.  Thank you so much for the opportunity and for the feedback.

Hey MattWard,
I'd buy some good monitors, room treatment and an interface that suits your needs. If you have some money left, it's always nice to have a good mic and preamp. But that's me.

Hi Mikey! Arrangement and mix is good. I like the vocal reverb in the beginning, but it seems like a little too much later on when the mix gets denser. AND... you have to tune the vocals. 15 mins of Melodyne and the whole mix will sound a lot better.
hi mikeyshynemusic,

great Mix!!....every Element is well defined and you mixed the Song with great depth and width=)
I love your "low end" especially your "Subbass". How did you managed to mix this Area ? (Hard or Software wise)

As Suggestion....i would try to "lower" the Lead Vocal a few dB.....

Keep it up!
